1月11日，退休的前BBC著名的体育节目主持人大卫·维恩由于心脏病发作去世，享年73岁。不幸的消息传来之后，正在举行的温布利大师赛也为他黯然神伤，丁俊晖和墨菲的比赛之前，两名球员和现场2000名观众一起默哀1分钟，以纪念为电视转播斯诺克赛事做出巨大贡献的维恩。

　　大卫·维恩不仅是BBC斯诺克赛事的主持人，还负责网球和奥运节目转播，1967年，维恩成为第一个通过彩色电视为斯诺克比赛解说的主持人；而从1978年开始直到2000年，每次BBC转播斯诺克世锦赛时都少不了他的身影，维恩还参与了斯诺克大奖赛、温布利大师赛和英国锦标赛的转播工作。

　　维恩最后一次为BBC出镜是在2000年悉尼奥运会当中，英国体育部长格里.苏特克里夫形容维恩是“体育转播史上最伟大的主持人之一，在过去40年当中在电视屏幕里一个老朋友。”

　　维恩主持了1985年斯诺克世锦赛决赛丹尼斯·泰勒战胜史蒂夫·戴维斯的比赛，这场赛事当时创造了1800万观众的收视奇迹。泰勒干脆就将维恩称作是“斯诺克的形象代言人”。而7次世锦赛冠军获得者斯蒂芬·亨德利也说：“在许多年当中，维恩就是斯诺克的代名词，当我第一次来到克鲁斯堡（世锦赛举办地）的时候，他就让我感觉到非常亲切，经过了这么多年之后，我们结交下深厚的友谊也找到很多乐趣，他的离去让人伤心。”

　　傅家俊的教练、1979年世锦赛冠军得主特里.格里菲斯说：“维恩拥有梦幻般的嗓音，给人的感觉就象可以穿透层层迷雾一般。他对于比赛是如此精通，对于球员也是如数家珍，这就是维恩的特别之处。”

Snooker Anchorman David Vine Passes Away

David Vine, the BBC's face of snooker for over two decades, died of a heart attack Sunday at the age of 73. One of Britain's best-known sports presenters, Vine hosted programmes including Sportscene, It's A Knockout, Quiz Ball, Rugby Special, Match of the Day, A Question of Sport, Grandstand, Superstars, Starshot, Ski Sunday and Wimbledon. However he was perhaps best known for fronting snooker, in the era when the sport rose to become one of Britain's most popular. Vine anchored the World Championship from 1978 until his retirement in 2000, as well as the Masters, UK Championship and Grand Prix.

Vine, who had triple heart by-pass surgery several years ago, was born in Devon but more recently lived near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. He leaves behind wife Mandy and children Kim, Martin, Katherine and Christian.

There was a minute's silence at the Masters at 2.30pm Monday at the start of the match between Shaun Murphy and Ding Junhui.
